Introduction:
Life at JIPMER Karaikal is highly peaceful. Even though the campus is very small compared to main JIPMER puducherry, it is one of the most comfortable places to be. Our current students describe it as a home away from home - big enough to always meet somebody new, small enough to see someone you know wherever you go.The campus and hostels are fairly secure with adequate security and CCTVs thereby there's no sense of vulnerability. A cosmopolitan atmosphere exists with people from all parts of the country sharing their cultures,languages,thereby making it a highly secular, apolitical and peaceful place with basic gym and sports facility

JIPMER Hostel Karaikal is situated at Housing board flats, Valatheru. It has a total of 8 Blocks with 204 rooms of which 6 MIG Blocks with 24 Student(each) accommodation & 2 LIG Blocks with 36 student accommodation(each). Total accommodation of 59 girls (2017 Batch-21,2018 batch-19,2019 batch-19) & Total accommodation of 81 Boys (2017 Batch-27,2018 batch-27,2019 batch-27)

- Hostel under Full Surveillance Camera Blocks with Total Of 53 CCtv Cameras
- A Common Mess Where 150 People dine.
- 7 cooks posted to provide good hygienic food for students
- Separate Boys & Girls reading rooms, TV Room for Boys & Girls, Gym room for Boys & Girls, Laundry Rooms for Girls & Boys
- Total of 18 Security guards & 6 Lady security guards available at each blocks for 24*7. and 14 Housekeeping staff for maintaining the Hostel Cleanliness.
- Total of 6 Electricians 2 Plumbers & 1Capenter for Hostel Maintenance under the control of CPWD.
- Good Drinking water facility provided by 500 litres RO System inside the campus along with dispensers.
- Two Genset of 40KV&62.5KV TO Provide Uninterrupted power. Badminton court, Volleyball Court, Tennis Court, Indoor Table Tennis Court Available. Sports Equipment for throw ball, Basketball, Carrom, Chess, Volleyball, Yogamat, Shuttle, Cricket, Football, Table Tennis Given to student to kindle their interest towards sports
