BECIL has designed and commissioned HD TV studio, Internet Radio Studio, and Digital Signage’s systems with a goal to meet the relevant Information dissemination to the patients, public, JIPMER staff, faculty and students by the means of JIPMER TV STUDIO

Prof. Dr. S.Vivekandam, Director, JIPMER, inaugurated the JIPMER Studio on 29th October 2018.

THE ROLE OF TV STUDIO AT JIPMER

• Doctors, specialists, surgeons participate in the panel discussions to give more light on the health issues, precautions, health related topics for educating the patients, public and also the practicing Doctors.
• The videos recorded in the TV studio will be broadcasted across the campus by pushing the content through the Digital Signage technology. Further these videos will be archived and also can be done web casting through Youtube and feedback from the public can also be monitored.

• Our studio set up will create the perfect balance between aesthetically pleasing to the eye and being practical.
• We have Interactive Panel, 4 Mics, Laptop and Internet facilities.
• Doctors do give their Lectures, Heath Talks, Panel discussion, Zoom conference and awareness video to the public etc.,

• We have finest Chroma key set up and during editing, computer programs are used to remove and replace parts of the footage. By using a function to make everything that is the colour of the background screen invisible, you can then replace it by editing it the footage of something else. 

• Our studio lighting determines not only brightness and darkness, but also tone, mood, and atmosphere. Therefore, it is necessary to control and manipulate light correctly in order to get the best texture, vibrancy of colour, and luminosity on your subjects. By distributing shadow and highlights accurately, you can create stylised professional-looking video graphs.

• Our studio we have three Broadcasting Cameras which one includes teleprompter.
• Doctors give their News reading and PPT presentation.

• PCR- A room containing monitors, speakers, switching boards, effects generators, and other equipment, used to monitor and edit a program on-the-fly. A multi-camera set-up is used to tape the action from a variety of angles. Desk ‘talkback microphones’ pass instruction and guidance to the studio crew. In the control room, the director decides which camera is going to be recording the actual image at any given moment. In such productions, there is inevitably some degree of post production editing and correction.
• Here in studio centres all the technical and programme staff operate in one area.

• An audio mixer takes multiple sources of audio and mixes, balances, and combines them into one signal. If you regularly use more than one microphone, play music on your streams, an audio mixer is a must for fine-tuning your sound. It lets you adjust the volumes of all your audio inputs, ensuring consistency.

• Tricaster is a TV studio in a computer designed and built by Newtek. If used properly it has the power to transform your basic video conferencing event into an high quality broadcast event.
• Tricaster connected with a professional audio mixing desk, high quality cameras and microphone and allows to mix up to 4 digital/analogue camera sources, 2 laptops, and mix video or audio directly from the Tricaster. The Tricaster will allow you to mix, record & stream your video conference events.
