Organised conference/ CME/ workshop

• On August 21,2025, the Department of ENT organised the preconference workshop for the Tamil Nadu AOICON 2025 .The workshop included
• Temporal Bone Disssection Workshop
• Practice essentials on Vertigo- Hands on workshop
• Practice essentials on PNS and Temporal Bone Radiology
• Practice essentials on randomized Controlled trials in ENT
• On 14^th November 2025 our alumni Dr Vinith Paleri was honoured with the golden scalpel in recognition of his great contributions in the field of ENT & Head and Neck Surgery
• On 9^th February 2026 guest surgeons Dr Awadhesh Kumar Jaiswal and Dr Ravi Sankar M from SGPGI, Lucknow visited our Operation theatre for two cases

Faculty conference participation:

• Arun Alexander attended as a faculty at the 27^th Tamil Nadu AOI conference in August 2025 and participated as a member of a panel discussion on Salivary gland tumours.He also presented a paper titled “Cytokine levels in Nasal Polyposis” and was awarded the second prize for the consultant paper presentation.
• He was also an invited speaker at “InCubate 2025” held at JIPMER on the 4^th October 2025.
• Arun Alexander presented a paper titled “Audiological and facial nerve function following facial nerve decompression” at the 33^rd Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Otology held between 24^th and 26^th October 2025
• He was also an invited faculty at the 4^th Hands on temporal bone dissection course at IGGGH&PGI Puducherry on 28^th & 29^th March 2026
• Dr Kalaiarasi Raja participated as faculty in AOICON Alaigal 2025 which was held in Pondicherry from August 21-23, 2025.
• She also participated as faculty in Hands on temporal bone dissection workshop conducted as part of NPCD NHM, IGGGH and PGI, Puducherry on March 28-29, 2025.
• Dr Kalaiarasi Raja participated as faculty in Sleep Surgery workshop conducted by IGGGH and PGI, Puducherry on 6-7 in December 2025.
• Dr Lokesh Kumar P ( Associate Professor) won the First Prize in Innovation in Medicine during 11^th JIPMER RESEARCH DAY which was held on the 5^th -7^th March 2026
• Dr Lokesh Kumar P attended as a Guest Faculty on Functional Rhinoplasty during 7^th AIIMS- FACIAL PLASTIC AND RHINOPLASTY WORKSHOP  held at AIIMS , New Delhi on the 31^st October 2025
• Dr Lokesh Kumar P gave an invited talk on the topic “Frontiers in Vestibular disease diagnosis and Management” during “BALANCE 360” Continued Medical Education(CME) held in Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences(SLIMS), Puducherry on the 6^th March 2026.

Achievements:

• Akhil Kumar & Dr. Namana (post graduate residents) won 1st place in the Quiz held at Sri Manakula Vinayagar medical college in April 2025. They also won the gold medal in Alaigal TNAOI Quiz held in August 2025.
• Dr Ajmal and Dr Bharati won 1st place in the Entellect Quiz held at AVMC on the occasion of World Hearing Day on March 11, 2026.
• In the ISOCON conference held in October 2025 at Hyderabad, Dr. Stuti Bagga won 1st prize in Quiz.
• Dr Shreya and Dr Stuti Bagga won the first prize in the quiz held at the Sri Ramachandra Ent Centre Chennai in April 2025.
• Adil and Dr Akash won 2^nd prize in the quiz held in RHINOCON in the month of November 2025 at Chennai.

Administrative Assignments

• Dr Arun Alexander is a lifetime member of the Indian Medical Association, The Association of Otolaryngologists of India, The Indian Society of Otology, and The Indian Association of Laryngology and Voice, Member of the Board of Studies for Sri Ramachandra University (Department of ENT) and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (ENT)
• Dr Sivaraman Ganesan is also an NTTC faculty for Medical Education, JIPMER, and Officer in charge for Central Library.
• Lokesh Kumar P is a lifetime member of the Indian Medical Association, Indian Society of Otology and Neuro-equilibriometric Society of India.
