JIPMER Canteen

The JIPMER canteen was started in 1970 by the JIPMER Staff Co-operative Credit Society (Regn No.P231) and later in 1976 it became the JIPMER Staff Co-operative Canteen ( Regn No.P354). In 1991 the canteen was renamed as JIPMER Staff Canteen. In 1991 the canteen was annexed as a section of JIPMER following the takeover of the same by the central government. After JIPMER was declared as an Institute of National Importance, the Canteen was renamed “JIPMER Departmental Canteen” in 2005.
