- The 10th CNE workshop based short term course on “Soft skills development for Nurses” funded by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India held from 11th to 17th March 2024 with 28 participants and 35 TNNMC credit hours.
- The 9th Nursing Research Monitoring Committee meeting had been conducted on for 29 M.Sc. Nursing I year 2023 batch students on 20th & 21st February 2024.
- Sc. Nursing IV year students conducted school health programme on 14th February 2024. Health assessment including vital signs, demonstration of practices of menstrual hygiene, posters on various health topics like road safety, mental health, personal hygiene, hand washing technique etc were exhibited to create awareness among school children. A skit on ‘good touch/ bad touch’ was performed by the students.
- The 9th CNE workshop based short term course on “Research methodology & publication for Nurses” funded by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India held from 29th January 2024 to 4th February 2024 with 29 participants and 35 TNNMC credit hours.
- Manuscript writing workshop has been conducted for nursing college faculty on 12th January 2024 and 15 faculty members participated in the workshop.
- NRMC proposal orientation class for M.Sc. Nursing 2023 batch students was held on 11th January 2024.
- Sc. Nursing I year 2023 batch students attended the fire safety orientation programme and drill on firefighting procedure from 12th – 14th December 2023.
- Sc. & M.Sc. Nursing participated in the Cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) programme organized by National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), Ministry of Health & Family welfare, Government of India on 6th December 2023 through virtual mode.
- Sc. Nursing I & II year and M.Sc. Nursing students attended Stress management session on 25th November 2023.
- The 8th CNE workshop based Short term course on “Essential Skill Based Training for Nurses” funded by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India held from 20th to 26th November 2023 with 30 participants and 30 TNNMC credit hours.
- The 11th convocation for Nursing and Allied Medical Science courses was conducted on 29th October 2023. Dr. M.R. Rajagopal, Founder Chairman –Emeritus of Pallium India, Director of Trivandram Institute of Palliative Sciences, Adjunct Professor of Global Oncology, Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada was the Chief Guest of the convocation. Degrees were conferred to 360 successful students including Nursing Graduates.
- The 7th national workshop on Current Trends in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology was conducted from 20th to 22nd September 2023 with 50 delegates and 19 Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council (TNNMC) credit hours. The participants of the workshop were the nursing faculty members, nursing service personnel, paramedical and allied health science faculty members from different colleges and hospitals.
- Sc. Nursing students involved to make rangoli to celebrate Chandrayaan Mahotsav on 4th September 2023 at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam JIPMER auditorium.
- Health counselling on Hypertension was conducted by B.Sc. Nursing II year students on 25th August 2023 at Koodapakkam.
- In Koodapakkam, B.Sc. Nursing IV year students participated in National deworming programme on 10th August 2023.
- Breastfeeding Week was celebrated in the first week of August 2023, in collaboration with the Department of Neonatology, Nursing Department, College of Nursing and Depts. of Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology).
- Career guidance programme was conducted on 27th July 2023 for B.Sc. Nursing final year outgoing batch students.
- The 17th Lamp lighting ceremony for B.Sc. Nursing 2022 batch students was held on 18th July 2023. Dr. Vathsala Sadan, Former Dean, College of Nursing, Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore was the Chief Guest of the programme.
- Health Screening was conducted for female worker (office/ sanitary)of JIPMER college of Nursing and Nightingale house hostel by the M.Sc. Nursing students on 2nd June 2023.
- Mass health education on Tuberculosis was conducted by M.Sc. Nursing I year students on 16th April 2023 at Koodapakkam PHC.
- Health counselling on Diabetes Mellitus was conducted by B.Sc. Nursing IV year students at Koodapakkam on 14th April 2023.
