The department has the state of the art clinical chemistry laboratory and equipment for teaching, research and patient care services. Weekly Patient Care Review and Quality Control are held in the department to improve patient care services. New sophisticated instruments like Chemiluminescence system from Beckman Coulter for hormonal assays and tumor markers, Beckman Coulter AU680 and AU5811 clinical chemistry analyzers for routine Clinical Biochemistry investigations, Nephelometer for microalbumin, Lithium Analyzer and semi- automated electrophoresis have been installed in the department to augment patient care services in clinical biochemistry. The department has provided round the clock services for the Covid patients during the on-going pandemic.
