Department of Anaesthesiology and critical care provides services in the following areas:

Anaesthesia services for Emergency surgical procedures are provided 24x7 in 5 operating rooms with dedicated operating Rooms for Trauma and Obstetric emergencies.

Anaesthesia services for elective surgical procedures performed in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Opthalmology, Maxillofacial surgery, Pediatric surgery, Urology, Neurosurgery, Plastic surgery, surgical oncology, Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery and Surgical gastroenterology is provided in 20 operating rooms in Main Hospital block, PMRC block, Superspeciality (SSB) block and Women and Children Hospital (WCH) block (Mon-Sat).

Procedural sedation/anaesthesia is provided for the following services: endoscopic procedures,pediatric radiological imaging, cardiac cath lab, electroconvulsive therapy and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(Mon-Sat).

One 14 bedded Critical Care unit (CCU) cater to critical ill patients, 24x7

Pre-Anaesthesia assessment clinic (PAC) clinic located in provides OPD services (Mon-Sat) to outpatients referred from surgical departments

A dedicated Pain management center is located in SSB with a Pain clinic OPD (Mon-Sat) and a pain ward, providing chronic pain relief services. Various pain interventional procedures are performed under ultrasound/radiological image guidance.
