The 44th Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons was held at PGIMER, Chandigarh from 25-28thOctober, 2018 and JIPMER recorded a robust presence at the meeting by two faculty members and two Senior Residents.
Dr Prathibha B. Naik MCh second year won the best e-poster in the Thoracic Session, titled “Outcome of surgical Management of symptomatic congenital lung lesions: A retrospective study”. The study was guided by Dr Bikash Kumar Naredi, Dr Bibekanand Jindal, Dr Krishnakumar and Dr Kumaravel.
Dr Ketaki Gharpure, M Ch our recent graduate presented a paper based on her thesis, won the Dr Swapna Dutta Award for best paper in Urology for her paper titled “Calyx to Parenchyma Ratio and its utility in follow up after pyeloplasty.” This study was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Bibekanand Jindal and Dr Bikash Kumar Naredi.
Dr Bikash Kumar Naredi, Additional Professor, chaired a session for Young Scholars at the meeting.
Dr Krishna Kumar actively participated in the conference.
