The fourth annual state level conference - CHETMEDICON-2017 on "RECENT ADVANCES IN HEMATOLOGICAL ABNORMALITIES AND MANAGEMENT" was conducted at Chettinad Health City on 19th August 2017.

The following residents from JIPMER won several awards:

Dr. Charumathy.A, 1st year resident, Department of Transfusion Medicine, won the first prize in the best poster competition for the case report entitled “Hemolytic Disease of Fetus and Newborn due to Anti-D - successfully managed with Intrauterine transfusion: a case report"

Dr. Mathumithra.T, Post doctoral fellow(Hematopathology), Department of Pathology, won the second prize in the best poster competition for the report entitled "Co-existence of Tuberculosis in Malignant Lymph Nodes- A report of two rare cases"
