Dr. Vikram Kate, Professor of Surgery & Professor (I/C) & Head, Department of Surgical Gastroenterology, JIPMER was elected as the President-Elect 2013-14 of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology (IASG) at the XXIII^rd National Conference of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology held at Kolkata from 2^nd to 6^th October 2013. He will be taking over as the President of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology at the forthcoming conference of the IASG to be held at Ahmedabad in October 2014 for one year.
