JIPMER has been awarded the “The Institutional Award for Best Neurotrauma Services” for the academic year 2013-14 in the recently held 23rd annual conference of Neurotrauma society of India at Mussorie on 31stAugust 2014. The award was considered by the executive committee of Neurotrauma Society of India after careful scrutiny of the neurotrauma services rendered by the institute and in recognition of starting a dedicated neurotrauma ICU, the number of trauma patients attended, the standard of care given, research publications and paper presentations in the arena of neurotrauma. The award was given by the president of the Neurotrauma Society, Prof B.S.Sharma, Head of Neurosurgery, AIIMS, New Delhi and was received by Dr. Roopesh Kumar and Dr. Sathia Prabhu.
