Awards for PhD Scholars, Pharmacology Department

The 5th Academic meet of Indian Pharmacological Society, Puducherry chapter 2014 was held on May 31st in JIPMER, Puducherry.

  1. Srinivasa Rao. Katiboina, PhD scholar of Pharmacology Department was awarded the best oral presentation (First prize) for the paper entitled “Frequency distribution of DNA repair genes ERCC1 and ERCC2 polymorphisms in South Indian healthy population”, Co-authored by Umamaheswaran Gurusamy, Dr Sureh Kumar S, Dr Steven A Dkhar, Dr. Biswajit.D and Dr. Gunaseelan K.
  2. Umamaheswaran Gurusamy, PhD scholar of Pharmacology Department was awarded the best oral presentation (Second prize) for the paper entitled “Pharmacogenetic variation at aromatase gene locus is associated with letrozole-induced musculoskeletal toxicity in women with HR (+) breast cancer”, Co-authored by Dr. Steven A Dkhar, Dr. Kadambari D, Dr. Biswajith D, Dr. Reddy KS and Dr. Adithan C.
